Ash Drawer Unit with Moonlight Finish
A clean, handleless ash drawer unit made as part of a matching three-piece set, with continuous grain drawer fronts and a soft Moonlight finish.
Behind the build
This ash drawer unit formed part of a three-piece project made for a client, alongside a matching bookshelf and desk. The aim was to keep the whole set clean, modern and practical, with a consistent finish running across each piece.
Built from ash plywood and trimmed with solid ash, the drawer unit was designed with a simple handleless look. Push-to-open runners kept the front clean and uncluttered while still making the drawers easy to use day to day.
The drawer fronts were cut from the same sheet so the grain runs continuously across the face of the unit. It was then finished in a soft Moonlight tone, giving the timber a lighter, more contemporary look while still allowing the grain to remain visible.
We also fitted discreet easi-glides underneath, making the unit easier to reposition on carpeted floors and giving the finished piece a little more flexibility within the room.
