James Martin–Inspired Solid Oak Chopping Blocks
A small batch of chunky solid oak chopping blocks, inspired by the substantial James Martin-style boards seen on TV. Handmade, naturally characterful and finished with our food-safe board butter.
Behind the build
These chunky, rustic chopping blocks were made as a small batch, taking inspiration from the substantial James Martin-style blocks often seen on TV. Built from solid oak and designed to have real presence on the worktop, each one was made with both practicality and character in mind.
Every block had its own grain pattern, natural colour variation and individual features, with the occasional knot adding depth and character. The edges were softened for comfort before each piece was sanded smooth and finished by hand with our food-safe board butter.
Made for everyday prep, serving and years of use, these chopping blocks were deliberately heavy, hardwearing and completely unique. This limited run included three pieces, each made to the same exacting standard in our workshop.
