Live Edge Ash Chopping Board
A small-batch pair of solid American ash chopping boards, shaped with a faux live edge and finished by hand to highlight the natural grain and subtle spalting.
Behind the build
Crafted from solid American ash, these two chopping boards were a pleasure to make. Both had plenty of natural grain character, including subtle areas of spalting, and were shaped with a faux live edge to give them a more natural, rugged feel without the fragility of a true bark edge.
At around 400mm long, they were sized for easy everyday use — large enough for prep and serving, but still practical enough to leave out on the worktop.
Each board was finished by hand with our food-safe board butter to enrich the colour and bring out the grain, then fitted with discreet rubber feet underneath for extra grip on smooth surfaces.
Only two were made, making this another small-batch pair with plenty of individual character.
