Behind the build
This bespoke chopping board was made from a carefully selected mix of oak, maple and walnut, combining lighter and darker timbers to create a clean, balanced contrast across the surface.
Each piece was chosen for its grain and character before being cut and arranged to create the finished pattern. Once assembled, the board was sanded smooth and finished by hand with our food-safe board butter to protect the timber and bring out the natural colour of each species.
The finished board had plenty of visual interest without feeling too busy, while still being made as a practical, durable piece for everyday use.
A simple combination of three contrasting hardwoods, brought together to create something functional, individual and built to last.
