Rustic Redwood Farmhouse Dining Set
A rustic farmhouse dining table and matching bench, handmade from Scandinavian redwood with a distressed finish, natural grain and a contrasting dark timber base.
Behind the build
This rustic farmhouse dining set was built from Scandinavian redwood, with the table and matching bench designed to bring warmth, character and practicality into the room.
For the tabletop, we selected boards with plenty of natural grain and knots, then added an inverse bevel to soften the overall profile. The darker timber base creates a strong contrast while keeping the design simple and grounded.
The surface was lightly distressed by hand to give it a more lived-in look without making it feel rough or overworked. The aim was to add character while still keeping the table smooth, practical and easy to live with every day.
The matching bench was made shortly afterwards using the same materials and finish, creating a cohesive set designed to feel relaxed, substantial and built to last.
